The material on Ghost represents the final recorded output of Hadley Transfer Station—a snapshot of a band in the process of drifting apart while simultaneously planning for a future that wouldn’t arrive.
Recorded at Rumblefish Studio following the sessions for East of the River, the title track and its B-side, “I Don’t Care If You Don’t Like Me,” were intended to anchor a follow-up full-length. Instead, the recordings sat dormant for years as the members moved into different creative phases.
In 2020, during a comprehensive effort to digitize and preserve the Hadley Transfer Station archives, these tracks were recovered and polished for release. Serving as both a “new single” and a retrospective celebration, Ghost marked the first time the band’s full catalog was made available to a digital audience, finally closing the loop on a chapter that had been left open for nearly two decades.
