Released on the occasion of the artist’s 51st birthday, this single bridges the gap between the debut era and new experiments in the studio.
Side A: Beginning To See The Dark
Recorded originally during the primary tracking sessions for the debut album It Will Still Keep Feeling Rough, this track was held back from the final listing to find its own space. It stands as a final artifact from the initial Brave Tiger Studio sessions.
Side B: Tempest (Acoustic)
A stripped-back re-interpretation of the lead single from IWSKFR. Following a significant flood in the basement studio, the recording environment was moved to a new section of the facility. This version of Tempest was the first track captured in the new configuration, leaning into the raw, immediate characteristics of the temporary setup.

"Oddly spacey vibe... The slide guitar is going to hypnotize you. A song that feels like it's building to a giant climax which never quite comes."
